The Coordinator Advisory Group serves as a consultative body to the ACGME administration concerning coordinator, graduate medical education, learning environment, and accreditation matters.
To be considered for the Coordinator Advisory Group, eligible coordinators were nominated by their program director or the designated institutional official (DIO). The ACGME received nearly 200 applications for this new group, the membership of which was formally appointed on May 31, 2016. As part of the selection process, the ACGME considered diversity in terms of geography, type and size of program and institution, specialty, and professional experience. Members must have a minimum of five years of experience as an institutional or program coordinator.
The Coordinator Advisory Group meets twice per year, and members serve three-year terms.
