Nominators had this to say:

I have personally experienced the benefits of Dr. Gaba’s exceptional commitment to education both during the years I spent as a resident learning from her and now as a junior faculty member. She has a way of breaking things down and talking about a topic that makes it more understandable, memorable—inspiring you to go home and read more about the subject. Dr. Gaba works to ensure that every educational opportunity is taken advantage of. She is inspirational to everyone she works with and has served as a role model to every resident who has passed through this residency program. She has helped to transform the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology into a place where there is an emphasis on education and dedication to teaching is appreciated and rewarded.

Dr. Gaba is a wonderful clinician. She is respected by the entire community for her ability to provide quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based medical care. Her patients speak very highly of her and look forward to seeing her at each visit.

Dr. Gaba shows her teaching skill in the one-to-one setting of the office and hospital.  In these efforts she shows particular dexterity in capturing teaching moments for students of both sexes using patients of all socioeconomic groups.  She is persuasive in motivating the patients to bond with the students being taught and thereby contribute to the quality of the teaching done.
