The ACGME thanks all those who participated in this year’s record-breaking Annual Educational Conference. For three days, more than 4,400 attendees came together at the largest graduate medical education (GME) gathering in the world to create, innovate, and engage. The conference theme, Meaning in Medicine, underscores the need for sustaining purpose and joy in the work of health care professionals. At #ACGME2024, attendees dove into educational sessions, connected with new and old peers, and reflected on the fundamental influences that called them to the field of medicine, with a common focus on serving the public and delivering high-quality, equitable patient care. Attendees celebrated many achievements in the field of academic medicine, while acknowledging the need to continue navigating challenges. Educational sessions featured stimulating content on topics including ACGME accreditation and initiatives; diversity, equity, and inclusion; faculty and professional development; well-being; crisis management; and many other impactful issues and initiatives. Attendees also participated in several engagement activities, including packing 1,000 meals for families in need with Orlando’s Second Harvest Food Bank. Additional highlights included record-breaking attendance at the Coordinator Forum Full-Day Course, several opportunities to support the local community, the Mentor/Mentee Program, more than 80 participating exhibitors sharing the latest innovations and technology, timely and important plenaries and keynotes, and numerous opportunities to connect outside of educational sessions.

The ACGME is grateful to all #ACGME2024 participants for their engagement and enthusiasm and looks forward to coming together in 2025 to continue the journey of innovation and collaboration!
