Dr. Abhishek Dharan is a resident physician at Loma Linda University Health, completing a transitional year before continuing to an advanced residency position in general preventive medicine and public health. He is also pursuing a Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of public Health concurrently during medical school and residency.
Dr. Dharan completed medical school at Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas, during which time he served as the student member of the Texas Medical Association Board of Trustees. He has also served as a member of the American Medical Association’s House of Delegates.
Dr. Dharan holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, was inducted into the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, and was awarded the Palais Award for the top senior design capstone project in the Electrical Engineering Department. He practiced as an engineer at Texas Instruments in the Technical Sales Engineering Leadership Development Rotation Program before pursuing independent consulting for start-ups while applying to medical school.
