Paul Foster Johnson, MFA

In this role, Paul Foster Johnson provides oversight and leadership of ACGME institutional accreditation and recognition; an interdepartmental program for medically underserved areas and populations and graduate medical education; and institutional outreach and collaboration programs and activities. Before arriving at the ACGME, Mr. Johnson served as associate dean for graduate medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is a past recipient of the ACGME Institutional Coordinator Excellence Award. A poet and editor, Mr. Johnson holds an undergraduate degree in English from State University of New York – College at Geneseo, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from Brown University. He is currently a PhD candidate in health policy and administration in the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
