The ACGME's Back to Bedside initiative seeks innovative ideas to increase time residents and fellows spend with patients and reduce physician burnout.

This four-year initiative is designed to promote transformative improvement within the clinical learning environments of ACGME-accredited Sponsoring Institutions in which resident and fellow physicians pursue their formal clinical training education.

The ACGME is pleased to announce that John Patrick T. Co, MD, MPH, MBA, FAAP will join the organization as Chief Education and Research Officer in early March. Dr. Co will serve as a member of the ACGME Executive Leadership Team, guiding the organization’s integrated education and research strategy.
