ACGME Names John Patrick T. Co, MD, MPH, MBA, FAAP as Chief Education and Research Officer

The ACGME is pleased to announce that John Patrick T. Co, MD, MPH, MBA, FAAP will join the organization as Chief Education and Research Officer in early March. Dr. Co will serve as a member of the ACGME Executive Leadership Team, guiding the organization’s integrated education and research strategy.

ACGME Releases 2024-2025 Statistics on Graduate Medical Education Programs and Resident Physicians

The ACGME is pleased to announce that the 2024-2025 Data Resource Book, as well as new self-service resources are now both available. The ACGME evaluated the Data Resource Book process and considered feedback and requests from the community to publish the book in its current form one final time. Moving forward, this information will be accessible in near-real-time format on ACGME Cloud | Analytics.

The ACGME is excited and proud to introduce a redesign of the ACGME website. The updated site features an improved overall design, an enhanced user experience, a better interface, and a modern look and feel. While most of the content has not changed, the navigation and placement of some of the content has. This update and orientation are intended to help users understand what went into and informed this redesign, and how to move around it and find what you’re looking for.

Mary Klingensmith, MD Named New Senior Vice President, Accreditation

The ACGME welcomes Mary E. Klingensmith, MD as the Senior Vice President, Accreditation. Dr. Klingensmith will oversee the accreditation process and standards for ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across the country.
