Recognizing the need for a structured approach to remediation, the ACGME has introduced the Remediation Toolkit, a dynamic resource to help with assessing and remediating struggling learners, underlying clinical performance issues, and successful remediation programs.

The ACGME, AACOM, AAMC, ABMS, AOA, and ECFMG have released three toolkits designed to aid programs and learners as they progress through disrupted years of the medical education continuum.

The ACGME has developed a process to allow accredited programs to request Program Emergency Categorization when planned resident/fellow experiences are disrupted due to a local epidemic/pandemic surge.

This inaugural day aims to unite national and institutional leaders, policymakers, patients, communities, and health workers across professions. It is sponsored by the National Academy of Medicine Collaborative, co-chaired by President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Thomas Nasca.

Twenty-five individuals and three institutions were recognized for innovation at Annual Educational Conference in San Diego, California.

The ACGME is pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s awards, who will be honored during the 2020 Annual Educational Conference February 27-29, 2020.

The Coalition for Physician Accountability, of which the ACGME is a member, released a report and recommendations, Medical Students in the Class of 2021: Moving Across Institutions for Post Graduate Training.
