Dr. Bonnie Olsen answered the ACGME’s questions on behalf of the team behind the poster, “Elder Abuse Education in Medical Residency: Evaluating the Efficacy of Elder Abuse Curriculum for Residents and Geriatric Fellows,” presented at the 2023 ACGME Annual Educational Conference.

DeLonda Y. Dowling serves as Executive Assistant to ACGME Chief of Staff and Chief Education Officer Timothy P. Brigham, MDiv, MS, PhD and also as Awards Liaison, managing the ACGME’s Awards Program. Ms. Dowling also presented at the 2023 Annual Educational Conference Coordinator Forum Full-Day Course. We asked her to share her conference experience.

In the #ACGME2023 Marvin R. Dunn Keynote Address, ACGME Chief Accreditation Officer Lynne M. Kirk, MD, MACP interviewed Theodore (Ted) J. Corbin, MD, MPP and Selwyn Rogers Jr., MD, MPH, FACS in a session entitled Healing from Trauma: Impacts on the Health Care Community.

Colón Cortés answered the ACGME’s questions on behalf of the team behind the poster, “Physician Comfort on Evaluating Patients with Disabilities in a Hospital in the Southern Region of Puerto Rico: A Quality Improvement Project,” presented at the 2023 ACGME Annual Educational Conference.

The Journal of Graduate Medical Education (JGME) offered two lively, interactive workshops at the 2023 Annual Educational Conference, designed to help authors write a compelling story of their research, and then to create powerful visual media to distill and convey their message online and in the classroom.

Dr. Eli Khazoum is the rising Chief Resident for the internal medicine residency program at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields in Olympia Fields, Illinois. He attended the 2023 ACGME Annual Educational Conference in part to support his transition into the Chief Resident role. As a resident and first-time Annual Educational Conference attendee, we asked him to share his impressions.

2023 GME Institutional Coordinator Excellence Awardee Bret Stevens, MBA, C-TAGME is the institutional coordinator for McLaren Health Care and the associate designated institutional official (DIO) for McLaren Oakland and McLaren St. Luke’s hospitals.
