Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The University of Chicago's Fall 2024 issue of Medicine on the Midway features Dr. Ortega in an article on challenges faced by street medicine programs due to increased homelessness and migration, as well as the importance of culturally competent care and the need for medical education to address health inequities and prepare future clinicians to serve underserved populations effectively.

The ACGME is excited to announce the availability of its new Language Equity in Health Care Toolkit, a partnership with the American Medical Association, Association of American Medical Colleges, and the National Council for Interpreting in Healthcare. The toolkit is part of ACGME Equity Matters®, with the goal of providing educational content and access to resources to improve language equity in health care and graduate medical education.

The ACGME is proud to share the ACGME Equity Matters® Resource Collection, a comprehensive and dynamic set of resources designed to assist Sponsoring Institutions, programs, and specialty organizations in achieving their diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
