ACGME Diversity and Inclusion Award - Nomination Deadline Extended!
The ACGME is accepting nominations for the Diversity and Inclusion Award, a new award to support efforts to achieve diversity and inclusion in graduate medical education (GME).

The COVID-19 crisis has reinforced data showing that underrepresented minorities are the victims of systemic inequality. Eliminating disparities in health care requires a commitment from all-even, and especially, during times of crisis. This annual award will highlight the most innovative and exemplary initiatives that drive diversity in GME.

Read more about the award, including instructions for submitting a nomination
The nomination deadline is extended to Friday, July 31, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. Central.

Institutional and Program Self-Study Update
The ACGME has suspended all program Self-Study activities, including the submission of Self-Study Summaries, through June 1, 2021 to allow the GME community to prioritize patient care duties in line with COVID-19 responsibilities. Programs with January 1, 2021 through June 1, 2021 due dates will receive a notice postponing the Self-Study until further notice. Email questions to Associate Director, Field Activities Andrea Chow.

The conference will likely take place in February 2021. Official dates will be announced later this summer. As plans for the conference unfold, and more information is available for navigating the virtual platform and registering, details will be shared through this e-Communication and via email, on the ACGME website, and on Twitter and LinkedIn.
