In “ACGME Paving the Path to Medicine: Promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Nashville, Tennessee,” local college students from communities underrepresented in medicine will learn about careers in medicine, meet with faculty members, and participate in activities. The ACGME is pleased to partner with Meharry Medical College in a community-centered event on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee. Participants can gain first-hand experience participating in a pathway program they can replicate at their own institutions for a lasting impact on the future of the physician workforce. Submit interest in participating by January 31. The ACGME will review interest and confirm involvement with participants. Completing the interest form does not guarantee participation.
The ACGME is accepting nominations for the 2026 ACGME Awards, which showcase the extraordinary contributions, diversity, and strengths of the GME community. Applications for the awards are available in the Awards section of the website.
Nominations are due March 12, 2025.
The reporting period for the ACGME’s annual Resident/Fellow and Faculty Surveys opens February 10, 2025, and will run for eight weeks, ending April 4, 2025. The ACGME anticipates sending survey reports in early May. The ACGME will send Sponsoring Institution and program leadership survey alerts at the beginning and throughout the administration period. Program leaders are still charged with alerting their survey takers regarding participation, using the existing mechanisms in ADS, during the survey administration period. Programs should review and, if necessary, update their Resident/Fellow and Faculty Rosters in ADS before the surveys open to ensure accurate scheduling of participants.
The Review Committee requires additional information from programs that wish to add a geographically distant participating site. Any program that will require rotations at a site that entails extended travel (consistently more than half an hour each way), or a distance between the site and the Sponsoring Institution exceeding 60 miles, must complete and submit a table to clarify the site’s use to the Review Committee.
Copy and complete this table and email to Senior Accreditation Administrator Bianca Andino.
The Writing Group for Neurological Surgery will begin development of the revised Program Requirements this year. To inform this effort, the Writing Group seeks stakeholder input. Access a background document and survey link to provide input in the Shaping GME table on the Review and Comment page.
Responses are due today.
